Rain Screening - A Vancouver Special Renovation

DSC_5326.jpeg

Now that we've finished with the installation of the Tyvek (waterproofing) and strapping, we were ready to start with the siding. There are a number of different types of metal siding to go with, but which one would look best? In this case, we decided to go with a wider offset, just to make sure that the front didn't look too busy. We were going to keep the brick (eventually painted), so if we were...

A Vancouver Special Exterior Renovation

IMG_0167.jpeg
It's been awhile since I've posted anything about the house, so here's an update. Although we finished the interior in the spring, this update will focus on the second phase of the project. Mud on the walls... - A Vancouver Special Renovation

rob_zwick_vancouver_homes 2011-02-0433.jpg
It's been a while since I last wrote about the renovation, mostly because I've been busy with both the real estate market and the reno. As you can see from the photos, both walls in the middle of the house have been removed, the framing has been completed, the drywall is up, and both theelectrical and plumbing rough-ins have passed inspection. Today we had the drywall company mud everything for the...
